The ASTRO A40 TR Headset + MixAmp Pro TR bundle, now part of Logitech G, recently received a specification update with a 2019 version. The most significant difference is the redesigned MixAmp Pro TR mixer, which has been revamped from a vertical to a horizontal orientation. The PS4 version we tested features a matte black and deep sea blue color scheme, with metallic-textured knobs that include indicator lights. The knobs offer moderate resistance, and the increased operating area allows for quick and easy adjustments. Various interfaces include: optical, USB Micro-B (audio/power), auxiliary 3.5mm input, stream output, PC/PS4 mode switch, and two digital daisy-chain ports. With the dedicated ASTRO Command Center software, users can quickly switch between 4 different EQ modes and mix into Dolby dual-channel surround sound for streaming.
