Nearly three years after its launch, Logitech has finally introduced the next-generation product for the Logitech G Pro X Superlight : the G Pro X Superlight 2. In terms of appearance, the Superlight 2 completely inherits the design of the Superlight, but it is 3g lighter and features changes in many internal specifications.
First, the Superlight 2 is equipped with the new "Hero 2" sensor. In addition to an increased maximum of 32,000 DPI and a high-speed tracking of 500 IPS, it also provides more stable tracking when the mouse is quickly lifted and placed down, or slightly tilted. Second, the Superlight 2 also adopts the Lightforce micro-switches first seen on the G502 X, which reduces double-clicks and offers a crisper feel. Finally, the Superlight 2 has finally replaced the charging port with USB-C, further reducing the number of devices on desks that rely on microUSB for charging.
Other improvements include the aforementioned weight reduction of 3 grams, from 63g to 60g. When the Superlight was first launched, a 63g wireless mouse was astonishingly light, but over the years, various manufacturers have introduced lightweight products, diminishing the Superlight's advantage. However, it is quite remarkable that the Superlight 2 managed to reduce weight without resorting to a perforated body design, and its official battery life has even increased from 70 hours to 95 hours.
In addition to the Superlight 2, Logitech also launched the G Pro X TKL keyboard. As its name suggests, it is a tenkeyless high-profile wireless keyboard, similar in positioning to the G715, and also uses Logitech's GX key switches. The Logitech G Pro X TKL keyboard is available in black, white, and pink (more like fuchsia) colors, priced at US$199, while the G Pro X Superlight 2 also comes in the same three colors, priced at US$159.
