Logitech G435 Wireless Gaming Headset Review: 165g Ultra-Lightweight, Comfortable Wear, 18-Hour Battery Life

Logitech G recently launched the new G435 wireless gaming headset, which features cross-platform connectivity, supporting its signature Lightspeed wireless and Bluetooth connections. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, PlayStation 5, and mobile phones, offering versatile usage.

The G435 features a lightweight design, weighing only 165g, and a more minimalist headphone design. While the plastic felt a bit thin upon inspection, the build quality is still solid. The top of the G435 is wrapped in fabric, and it also uses fabric earcups, providing comfortable wear without pressure on the head. Due to its light weight, it can be worn for extended periods without fatigue. However, the headphones seem more suitable for users with smaller heads; I had to extend the earcups to their maximum to use them. In addition to the main color of the headphones, there's also a contrasting color design on the earcups or earcup connecting cables. Currently, there are three color combinations: white with light blue, black with yellow, and blue with pink. I personally prefer the first two, as the blue with pink is harder to pull off.

I primarily tested it with Lightspeed connected to Windows, playing "Apex Legends." The Lightspeed wireless connection performed very stably with no noticeable delay. The headset features 40mm drivers and is compatible with Dolby Atmos. During actual gameplay, the headset created an excellent soundstage with clear sound positioning, and the mid-low frequency performance was impressive, delivering impactful gunshots. The overall gaming experience was very good. It's worth noting that the G435's microphone uses an integrated beamforming design, similar to the technology found in most true wireless earbuds. The sound quality feels slightly inferior to traditional boom microphones, but since the G435 is mostly used indoors, the practical impact is minimal.

The Logitech G435 weighs over 100g less than the G733 and retains the stable Lightspeed wireless connection. I personally think it's an excellent choice for an entry-level wireless gaming headset.
