The "Hong Kong E-sports Festival 2019" is currently being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Yesterday, the esports brand Logitech G held a product launch event at the festival, where Logitech G announced the release of two new models of gaming headsets, as well as two new gaming keyboards that made their global debut at this event in Hong Kong.
Logitech G913 achieves 1ms speed wirelessly
The two newly announced gaming keyboards, the Logitech G913 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and the Logitech G813 LIGHTSYNC RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, both feature Logitech G's high-performance low-profile GL switches.
The Logitech G913 utilizes LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, enabling a very fast 1ms response rate. If players turn off the keyboard's lighting, the G913 can be used continuously for 135 days (calculated at 8 hours of use per day). Even if players prefer a better visual experience and turn on the RGB Colourwave lighting effect, it can still be used for over 12 days (also calculated at 8 hours of use per day).
The Logitech G813 is the wired version of the G913. The G813 comes with a USB cable, allowing it to be connected to a USB 2.0 input port and used as a wired keyboard, eliminating worries about running out of power and needing to charge during use.
The G913 and G813 mechanical keyboards share the same exterior design, featuring 5 programmable G-keys that can be customized, 3 game profiles, and Logitech G LIGHTSYNC RGB technology with the Logitech G HUB gaming software. This allows for personalized settings with approximately 16.8 million colors, creating various dazzling lighting combinations to enhance players' visual gaming experience.
For the keyboard keys, both the G913 and G813 utilize Logitech G's low-profile GL mechanical switches. The height of these low-profile switches is only half that of standard mechanical switches, allowing for a 25% faster actuation speed compared to standard 2.0mm switches, resulting in a more comfortable key press. In addition, to cater to different players' gaming preferences, Logitech offers three types of GL switches for the G913 and G813: GL Tactile for players who prefer direct feedback and light touch, GL Clicky for the satisfying click sound, and GL Linear for smooth keystrokes.
Logitech G PRO X Headset: Professional-Grade Audio and Call Quality
Logitech G also showcased two new PRO series gaming headsets at the press conference: the Logitech G PRO X and the Logitech G Pro. Both headsets were designed in collaboration with professional esports players, combining comfort, durability, and high-performance audio and voice technology to provide players with a professional-grade gaming experience.
The Logitech PRO X can be used with Logitech G Blue VO!CE software, which was developed by Logitech in collaboration with microphone experts Blue Microphones. Through Logitech G Hub's real-time voice filters, players can select preset configurations using Blue VO!CE's integrated recording and playback functions, adjusting tone and volume to their personal preferences, allowing for real-time communication with teammates during gameplay. In addition, Blue VO!CE also offers a full suite of professional-grade audio adjustments, including a compressor, de-esser, and noise reducer, to meet the demands of users seeking professional quality.
These two new gaming headsets incorporate the newly introduced 50mm PRO-G drivers, which provide users with clear and precise sound imaging. They also enable these two headsets to deliver more accurate sound and higher fidelity bass response across a wider frequency range.
Both new gaming headsets prioritize comfort and lightness in their design. The outer shell is crafted from stainless steel and aluminum, reinforcing the structure while keeping the headsets very lightweight. The leatherette headband and ear cups feature soft memory foam, which provides cushioning for the headset, reducing pressure during long gaming sessions. Additionally, the PRO X also comes with an extra set of velvet ear cups that offer better sweat absorption.
